FF55 10/19/12, Toe Tapping in March

Our first official date
in early Spring of 1989,
we laughed our way
up the steps of
a train car diner

Slid onto red vinyl seats,
with grey swirled Formica
had sugar, salt napkin holder
standing by the jukebox
on every table .
Three songs for 25 cents
a sing along with Cheeseburg,
fries and a coke!

A note to those who came by last week- My neighbors finally
put up their inflatable decorations for Halloween! There are about 10 crowded together along the grass-
Did I say  they had a dracula ?!

I went a few posts down and read last Friday's post. Ha ha.. you have yet to have the music turned on? I can't imagine what they do for Christmas... I really think this begs a photo :) I hope they at least pass out amazing candy...

Now, as far as the train car diner date... it just gave me an idea! We have Amtrak right here in town and I should surprise my husband with a date to a nearby city... When I do, I'll write a 55 about it :)

Love the intricate and detailed memories of the first date--some things defy age and can't be forgotten. I don't mind the inflatable draculas--here the wind usually destroys them in about two days, though then they lay around flat in the yard and really are the Undead. ;-) I do like some of the cobwebby things people hang up, and the pumpkins. Happy Halloween.

Love the detail. I'm thinking that first date was not the last.
