Mag175,6/30/13 Do you Reach
As you follow throughout this day
do you silently match
your movements to hers?
Outside to outside
action by action
beauty to beauty,
bend by bend
trusting fluid competency to bring you both in before the rain

when in those tedious jobs, even the ones of survival..its always good to have a wingman, a companion you can match steps with to keep each other going...
Izzy, again...your few words utter so much meaning. "Follow" becomes "match...movements".
And what beauty bursts forth in the last line, I "touch" each word:
Trust
Fluid
Competency
Bringing both into home when it is time to avoid he dangers...
Maybe I "see" more than--but that is first impression.
PEACE!
Indeed this seems both fluid and competent to me Izzy, and i feel my soul is in good hands while i read it !
I hope I would follow her movements and know to come in before the rain, but not always sure! I really like the fluid movement of the layout of your words!
Steve is right, you have the unique talent to convey so much with few words.
Ah, I can only hope it rains today! There is a wildfire, and it's only 4% contained.
Whom can we trust - if not fluid competency?
....and what heavily laden skies they are!
Certainly different.
There IS a certain rhythm and fluidity to the work of life, the getting there and back again, the tasks requiring muscle and motion that tire one out along the way ... and I like what Brian said ... it IS comforting to have know that others do the same and get back home too ... this is so wonderful a poem!
Such fluidity and a direct simplicity...beauty for beauty..follow you anywhere!
We need those who will walk with us...love your words and their presentation...beautiful
Lovely words; learning by watching and mirroring.
before it rains...indeed...
There is strength in such pairing.
=)
I find the rhythm you used in the center of the poem reminds me of the sound of her walking in silence... the sound of her labor, her breathing, her feet, pulling her home... Nice.
