"Burrow down and pray"
He bowed in respect,
got out of his shoes
grabbed the shovel
stepped into the circle of gorse
and began to dig a space for himself.
As soon as he was finished
he would kneel like a little scarab
within the circle of thorny protection;
and give thanks for
all the wonders in his life.
