FF55, Day after Day

90 million blades of grass
weaving in the heat,
spinning underneath a mower
 Whirrr-rrrr-

Gasping in the hot
grasping at the fence
rolling- RRRR- all
the tall metal frames up-

Splash and Ahhhh-
 into warm pool water
swish you swim, back and forth
 beneath the blue and gold

15th day of 2013 Summer Heat Wave   !

Remembering the cows used to stand in the ponds, sometimes up to their neck
to keep cool.

I swam right along with them wading (and performing "other" physical events.) This made me very sick...so sick that I died 40 years ago

I still love heat--it's why moved to Naples FL 48 years ago--and IT HAS BEEN HOT.

So long, "Hot-Girl"...I'll remind you of these days when the northwastern wind are blowing in about 5-6 months away.
BLESSINGS!

I hate humidity soooooo much and can't wait until it passes and I can be outside without sweating buckets just from stepping outside. I'm glad I'm not the one who cuts the grass, too! :)

I was out mowing I bet when you wrote this--I love that sense of creating order out of crabgrass. ;_) We had a brief break from the heat, but now it's back--Steven King needs to write something about living Under the Heat Dome! ;_)

What a nice Summer's day, even with the mowing.

The smell of fresh cut grass & chlorine... somehow it does go together. :)
