A Sighting! Lincoln's alter ego-or his ghost?
Seen somewhere between
the sunset and the light...I swear
he spent only a few thin, shadowy moments
at the Memorial in DC, rubbing his chin
" Did they need to sculpt me so large?"
They got most of the details right-
" Where in town is a good library?"

I was just there in DC and he is HUGE! You know... I just read "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter ... the man might ... not ... be ... dead! :) (excellent fun read, btw)
ha...he is larger than life...one of my fav places in DC though...margarets comment me think of the new movie...i hear it is good...
The Movie that Margaret is talking about was GREAT!!!
And Izzy...?
Thank you for being such a talented, creative, and supportive blog friend.
Loved your 55
You are a Rose among the Thorns!!
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
...I saw the movie. I WISH they would have cut 10 minutes of action out and put in scenes from the book - it was such a fun read, very moving - especially Abe's younger years which the movie doesn't touch upon. I think more character development was needed... but that is coming from a woman. They men, I'm sure, would want more action. :) I give it a "B" only because I read the book and wanted THAT story on the screen (interestingly, the man who wrote the book wrote the screen play -- go figure)
Favorite line:
"Did they need to sculpt me so large?"
LOL.
I can imagine him wondering that. :)
Thanks for doing Friday 55!
Mine's here. :)
Well, isn't size supposed to matter? :)
Love this. I know he'll find the library.
I'm sure Lincoln would say something very like that--he was a very self-effacing man for someone who did so much. Great historical 55.And now I have to find that book Margaret mentioned!
I thought he was busy killing vampires? (LOL!) Fun 55!
Unmistakable, his thoughts!
Wishing YOU Aloha, from Waikiki
