FF55 10/12/12 Downstreet Silent Haunts

Below us stretches
a meandering white house
with a narrow stretch of lawn
and a single shapely tree.
Only a ring of china elves
and mushrooms cluster by the steps.
Rather than its usual booming, blooming
sway of swollen orange figures;
a Frankenstein, Great Baron ,Cinderella
balloons leaping, leaning and reaching with music and cackles!

Aha! So descriptive of Halloween decorations. I love seeing new ones cropping up in our neighborhood daily. Reminds me....I must get some pumpkins to carve this week!

Why the change? Or, is it lack of change?

For those of us who have the Halloween spirit all year round, this is music(and crackles) to the ears. Love your most exuberant and seasonal 55.
