Hiking the Trail
on a holiday,
you spy unknown people
around a table.
The technique:
grab some dry crumbs,
an almost empty PB Jar
Take a knife scrape- hard!
Cough, squeeze a tear from
an eye- and Hallelujah-
Yogi succeeded!
First a sample offering,
with a bit more work
you trade stories for a feast!
More Fun from the spooky legends and true
Tales of JR "Model T" Tate. Who hiked the Appalachian trail end to end 3 times!

You trade stories for a feast...nice close.
That's the kind of feast I like...
have not made it end to end, but hiked my area plenty of times....slept on the trail as well....we have a similar ritual...trading stories is essential...
A feast of stories - I like!
Storytelling around here is no lost art. I like it.
Izzy...
That trail has fed many a spooky tale!!
You related this one PERFECTLY!
Loved your mystical 55.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
Nice! I would love to hike the Appalachian Trail and eat peanut butter snacks...
I have to love a poem about picnics that mentions Yogi Bear!
I wish more people would trade stories instead of idle chit-chat and political rants.
and don't forget the camp fire if it is evening! I do love hiking and we pack small snacks but the kids can't eat it until we reach the half way point (yes, lots of griping)
