Flash fiction 55, 5/27/11

A hot air balloon may glide
untroubled over colored land
and blue shine water for quite sometime.
Spectacular you agree,
attempting a slow, graceful descent.
Then heart pounding,
tense, you peer and pray:
choices you have made
will bring you safely in -
Still it is better you took the ride
rising, trusting- than never did!

true that it is all about the ride...and risk...that is life ungrounded

I love this analogy so much. How boring life would be if we didn't take those risks!

You have to envy the freedom of that balloon, carried by the wind, severed from the earth--and forget for a moment that what goes up must come down. Airy and floaty 55.

Sometimes you have to take those scary steps. I've never dared go up in a balloon though!
