FF55 2/3/12 Heard a blogger talking- Hair

As a young person: mine grew long and curly, Blondish.
I could sit on it for most of 13 years; per order of my Mother.
One day I got a Twiggy cut because of 'rats nest' tangles.
It's been highlighted a handful of times.
Today I cut it twice a year whenever 'snarls' get thick!

You were made to sit on it? Ugh.

I generally cut my own because most beauticians have no idea what they are doing when confronted by curly hair. They tend to do stupid things with blow driers, hairbrushes, and such. *eyeroll*

Hair is such a personal thing. I'm sure you can get so many different responses. I let mine go naturally wild / cant be tamed
This is a fun 55
thanks for your visit Izzy ~Hugs

I remember when Mia Farrow got into an argument with Frank Sinatra and she got a Butch cut...
I Love long hair, after I retire I'm never cutting it again.
Loved your 55 Izzy
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

I bet your hair is beautiful, and obviously it is healthy. My hair is so much thinner than it used to be, so I am envious that you have thick snarls!

It never fails to amaze me that people can make a career out of 'doing' hair--not that they don't do amazing things, but they would all be starving if they were waiting on me--like you I only get mine cut when I can no longer brush it all out often enough to keep the snarls out. Loved the Twiggy ref--haven't thought of her in years. She'd be right at home with today's uber-thin mindset.

...I wish I could stand it with only two visits a year. I tried growing the grey out ... and i did grow it out about 3 inches... but I JUST dyed it two days ago. Wasn't quite ready for that yet. I bet your hair is wavy an awesome... lucky you.
