Whose limelight dream is this?
Who froze the camera here ?
She will not remain on top long
She is likely to be consumed in another moment.
If you know anything about life - a brief phase of the moon this.
If you set the mass in motion, the daisy you have put here is gone.
Human or animal, nature will rise
in anger, hunger, passion
It will flare, roil and then subside.
There are many slices of evolution
even history to consider, not all proud or pretty
like wars,slavery-
if this is erotic art; I am choosing to move on.

Izzy- Interesting and creative take on the prompt!
Ah, we both saw this as being consumed, but I didn't get the "drain" notion you mentioned on my blog.
I like the challenging nature of the first two lines.
and i think that is a good decision...smiles...this was provacative and def captures some darker themes...she will likely be consumed...i think that says much of us as a people...
It is a nightmarish image - and no good will befall that poor creature --but she looks happy enough for the time being?

I love this: "she will not remain on top for long." No, it looks like she's going to be consumed like a lamb in quicksand! Lots of ways to be consumed...I guess is the point here.
You ask a deep question in the last line; and suggest a good response to the picture. It's "erotic art" if the author of the picture says it is, but I found the picture simply distasteful.
interesting consummation
I liked your first question 'Whose limelight dream is this?' except I'd call it a nightmare...
many sides to this coin...yours is pertinent, in as much as we can easily please as be displeased
Peace
moving on is, I think, a good thing. Surely an excellent write on this rather startling and strange image.
my fave magpie today :)
Strong writing .. each stanza stands beautifully on its own.
I like the notion that she will not remain on top for very long...
Thought provoking indeed. How long should she lay...?
