Red Roofs, Marc Chagall, 1954
Curled around and stepping down
through a red town
with spirits hovering to pluck flowers
and plant some blooming
in window boxes all around.
Some children are hugged and fed
some marriages proposed,
some dreams are coming to life;
new myths are being carted in.

Mysterious, magical. Some of each. Love the spirits hovering to pluck flowers...

I like your poem interpretation of the poem. Very original.
I really love that last line!
Poetic insight.
Making the unreal...real!
thank you.
I like the image of new dreams being carted in.
=)
flowers being plucked by hovering spirits- lovely
I tried 2 times to capture this image-so very complex.
Yours is quite lovely!
Hovering spirits and new myths - great combination. :)
That last line "myths being carted in" - really makes us think.
I actually dreamed this last night...feeding children and all...
red is a powerful color...
like the color associated with myths.
Speaks to all the happenings and goings-on in the daily life of a town. :)
