Flash fiction 55, 3/18/11

Ok, G-Man you got us all going today!
not only hosting but toasting some particular
favorites! Hats off to your launch-

She grabbed her magnifying glass
and several books of maps.
A friend had mentioned America
and "THE Inter-coastal waterway ? "
rushed around her brain.
Panning for gold, and pirates;
 possible adventure always stirred
her blood. From Houseboats to a canoe-
she gazed down upon the rivers
How far from the panhandle
could she get?

with patience she pushed
past rozoes and reeds
effortlessly absorbed in the beauty
she heard of places on the other side
just how far was Brownsville?

Peace, hp

Booth?...couldn't find out...google image

Road trip! Or in this case, boat trip. Sounds like quite an adventure in the making.

Brilliant! I love how we inspire each other.

Be a nice little cruise from the Panhandle to say, Bar Harbor.

A vacation with no "plans" and maps. Just drifting along, stopping and starting when the desire fits. I often overplay our vacations and they seem a bit hectic. Drifting along seems lovely...
