Poetry Bus, #1, 11/28/10

(Argument between self and Higher Power )

Here it is- Ample warmth and blue skies.
Can we translate some of this, into ample coinage Please ?
Here: Creative and pleasant freedom-
    I've opened windows and doors...
Good friends, family.
I do appreciate them thank you-
Health and energy-
    Wonderful, wonderful-
Peace and opportunity...
I am passing on as much as possible; -may I ask you something ?
Intelligence- time,learning-
    Very helpful, Please-
Patience, forgiveness-
    Yes- Creator ?
Honesty, willingness-
Please stop, a second or two !
Compassion, love-
Indeed, I am so glad, HOW do I-
Generosity, kindness-
    So-you cannot listen-?
There, that will get you started...
    Too much raw material.
I'll be around-
   *SIGH*   -Love, laughter-
You too!

I knew God had a sense of humour. Eloquently put!

I'm glad Dana listed you last. It helped me end my readings on a high note! I love the image of God as being patient and a little amused by our stumbling around trying to figure Him out.

Well done!

You started me off with a smile ... and ended me with a sigh! Beautifully written.

I like the image of you trotting after the Big Guy trying to get a word in edgewise. I'm curious what question you would ask if you could, that starts out: HOW do I...?

Clever and very enjoyable.

You reinforce my lifelong belief that God is not a good listener . . to put it mildly.

I love this! Although in my prayer life the opposite happens - I don't shut up long enough to hear the answers :)

God is a good listener - we just pose the wrong questions. Lovely poem!

Is there a higher power than the self? I've no evidence. I don't believe on fairies either. Or Father Christmas. Nice poem, though.

Talking to oneself often gets better answers...
